SRtRC EU to kick off Solidarity Week

15 March 2021

EFDN and Show Racism the Red Card Europe project partners are excited for the launch of the ‘Solidarity Week’ which will take place from the 18th of March until the 24th of March. The aim of the week is to promote solidarity and diversity in European football.

EFDN and Show Racism the Red Card Europe project partners are organising the awareness campaign but all football organisations, grassroots and professionals, are invited to join our activities and use our free campaign material to make a stand for solidarity and diversity.

We will team up with clubs, leagues, FAs, the International Weeks against Racism, share best practices and tips, and contribute to the longest human solidarity chain in football.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • Share best practices and content promoting solidarity and diversity using #DiversityWins and via email to info@theredcard.eu
  • Commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March). The theme for this year is “Youth standing up against racism”.
  • Join our #Morethanfootball human solidarity chain
  • Use our SRtRC campaign material
  • Create your visuals

JOIN OUR #MORETHANFOOTBALL SOLIDARITY CHAIN

For the 5th anniversary of the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, together with clubs, leagues and FAs, we want to demonstrate our solidarity and share the spirit of #Morethanfootball online. To create the chain, we ask you to take a picture of your players, staff, volunteers, participants, beneficiaries or others giving their hands to someone outside of the picture frame. Side by side, we will make the longest human solidarity chain in European football. Create additional videos to make your solidarity chains even more interactive and inspirational.

Post from 24th of March onwards, please use #morethanfootball, #DiversityWins and tag our social media accounts so we can share your posts and activities.
