11 January 2022

This season, TéFéCé is going back to school with a new educational program in the continuity of the Young Citizen Supporters action created in 2003. The objective being to share the positive values of football through playful and sporting games around notions of citizenship and tolerance.

Promotion of diversity in football and in society

The educators will work with CM1 and CM2 classes, young people from leisure centers (CLAE), without forgetting to also raise awareness among young footballers of the Club Academy. In partnership with the Léo Lagrange association , TéFéCé will go this season to meet children in their schools in the company of players from the professional team, the women’s section and young people from the training center in order to discuss the theme of diversity , with a focus on racism in sport and gender equality.

At the same time as these awareness-raising interventions, the children will be invited to work on the production of a banner (supporters’ tifo type) in relation to the themes developed. In March 2022, they will come to present their productions to the players of the Club. The most positive and inclusive banners may have the chance to be displayed in the stands of the stadium on a match day!

Several children already met in 2021

The first awareness campaign took place on Thursday, December 2 with a CM1 / CM2 class from Jean ZAY school, Borderouge district in Toulouse, in the presence of Tom Rapnouille, professional player and Sacha Semaoun, from the reserve team. The second intervention took place on Wednesday December 15 with the U10 kids in the presence of two young people from the reserve team, Kévin Keben and Fares Chaibi. Finally on December 16, two players from the women’s team, Anastasia Soulac and Laurie Clément, went to CLAE Lespinasse (Toulouse).

The children took part in sports and educational workshops allowing them to reflect on the notion of racism and to exchange their point of view with the players of the club. At the end of this awareness, the children showed their commitment by posing in the photo by showing racism the red card before the traditional signing of dedications by the players present.
